Improper Parking on Greenwich Avenue Leads to DWI Arrest

Greenwich Police checking a mini-van that was not parked properly in the 400 block of Greenwich Avenue over the weekend ended up arresting the driver on a driving while intoxicated charge.

According to a police report, when an officer spoke with the driver about 11:30 p.m. June 29, they found she had an odor of alcohol, glassy eyes and slurred speech. She was unable to complete field sobriety tests, according to the report.

Thais Davis Hines, 43, of 59 Halsey Dr., Old Greenwich, was charged with driving while intoxicated and improper parking.

Hines was released after posting a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear July 14 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
