Man Accused of Trying to Strangle Girlfriend; Suspects Charged with Shoplifting, Assault

A Port Chester, NY man has been arrested on charges he tried to strangle his girlfriend.

According to a Greenwich Police report, police were summoned to an Armstrong Court apartment shortly after 3 a.m. Sept. 10. An argument between the couple became physical.

Sandro Llanos, 41, of 74 Rectory St., Port Chester, was charged with 2nd-degree strangulation, interfering with a 911 call and disorderly conduct, after he surrendered to Greenwich Police on Sept. 11. He was held in lieu of $1,500 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Greenwich woman has been arrested on shoplifting-related charges in connection with the theft of merchandise from four Greenwich Avenue stores.

Kimberly Ann King, 49, of 23-11 Armstrong Ct., was charged with one count of 5th-degree larceny and three counts of 6th-degree larceny shortly before 2 p.m., Sept. 9. Employees of the Togs clothing store, 113 Greenwich Ave., reported a woman left the store with three blouses in a shopping bag and was chased by store employees. The blouses were valued at $511.

Police said an investigation indicated she had other items including toiletries and candy with a total value of $694 that apparently were taken from JCrew, Greenwich Pharmacy and the CVS pharmacy, all on Greenwich Avenue. King was scheduled to appear Sept. 16 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

An 18-year-old Old Greenwich woman was arrested on an assault charge stemming from an incident in which the victim suffered a broken nose and a sprained neck on Sept. 11.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the victim reported she was approached by two women, one of whom thought the victim was having a relationship with her ex-boyfriend. The victim said she was punched in the face and beat up by the pair.

Michelle Maxwell, of 19 South End Ct., Old Greenwich, was arrested on a 3rd-degree assault charge, after admitting she participated in the incident, according to the report. She was released after posting $100 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

An East Elm Street couple was arrested on assault charges following an argument that became physical.

According to Greenwich Police, the 24-year-old woman and 31-year-old man were arrested following the domestic violence incident shortly before 6 a.m., Sept. 9. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct and 3rd-degree assault; the man was charged with disorderly conduct and 3rd-degree criminal mischief. Each was released on a promise to appear Sept. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

An argument between two family members at a Hobart Avenue residence shortly beofre 1 p.m., Sept. 11, has lead to the arrest of two men.

According to a Greenwich Police report, an argument escalated into a shoving match in a stairwell of the home. The suspects, a 23-year-old man from Norwalk and a 27-year-old man from Greenwich, were each charged with disorderly conduct and released on promises to appear Sept. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
