Man Charged in Fake Prescription at Greenwich Pharmacy

A 27-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon after he tried to use what Greenwich Police determined to be a forged prescription to obtain drugs at Greenwich Pharmacy.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the man, identified as Andrew M. Tokarz, 27, who gave an address of 2525 Purchase St., Greenwich, NY, was charged obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, second-degree forgery, criminal attempt to obtain a controlled substance and possession of a narcotic, in connection with the incident shortly before 5 p.m.

Police said they found an illegal narcotic in Tokarz's pocket. Bond was set at $1,000 and he was scheduled to appear Dec. 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
