Man Charged with Using Fake Prescriptions

Suspect was able to obtain powerful narcotic from Greenwich, Darien pharmacies.

A Stamford man who Greenwich Police say had a physician’s prescription pad has been arrested on charges he forged scripts for oxycodone at pharmacies in Greenwich and Darien.

According to police, Jamie Longo, 24, of 24 Dann Drive, Stamford, was arrested April 14 on two counts each of possession of narcotics, prescription forgery/alteration and 2nd-degree forgery, all felonies.

The charges stem from an investigation by Greenwich Police following Longo’s arrest on charges he tried to use a forged prescription to obtain oxycodone at the CVS store at 90 Greenwich Ave. on Feb. 7, according to Greenwich Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray. The investigation lead police to Grieb’s Pharmacy, 1021 Post Road in Darien. Police charge that Longo used a forged script to obtain the powerful narcotic around the same time as the CVS incident.

Using surveillance videotapes, police determined that Longo “had been there previously with a fraudelant script pad. It was confirmed that the doctor (whose name was on the forms) was not involved and that he (Longo) was not a patient,” Gray said.

Longo already faces felony charges from the Feb. 7 incident – conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics, obtaining a controlled drug by fraud, 2nd-degree forgery and attempt to commit possession of narcotics.
