A 28-year-old Greenwich man was arrested on a third-degree assault charge following a Monday night argument in his home, according to .
Kevin Merszei, of 583 Lake Ave., also faces third-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges. According to a police report, officers were summoned to 583 Lake Ave. at 9:17 p.m., July 9 on a report of an individual suffering a cut hand.
Officers determined there was an argument between Merszei and an unidentified person whom Merszei is accused of pushing and injuring them. He also is accused of punching a window, causing the cut on his hand, and smashing a lamp.
The report did not indicate whether Merszei or the victim required medical attention. Merszei was released after posting $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear July 10 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

School windows broken
Greenwich Police are investigating the breaking of two large classroom windows at .
According to police Lt. John Brown, custodians opening the school about 6:30 a.m. July 9 discovered the damage, apparently caused by small rocks. The windows were broken sometime after custodians left the school on Western Junior Highway Friday night.
According to Greenwich school officials, the 4-foot square windows will cost about $800 each to replace.
