Man Faces Assault, Threatening Charges

Victim told Greenwich Police the suspect used a razor to cut her.

 

A Greenwich man faces assault and threatening charges following an incident in which the victim was cut on the chin with a razor, according to Greenwich Police.

The victim reported the incident at 3 a.m. Nov. 16. She told police that the suspect, who had been drinking, threatened to kill her if he "was ever put in jail" because she went to police, according to a police report.

Robert J. Crawford, of 15 Powell St., Greenwich, was arrested on third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and threatening charges. Bond was set at $1,000 and Crawford was given a Nov. 16 court date.

The report did not indicate whether the victim needed medical treatment for the cut.
