Man Faces Charges He Interfered with 911 Call


A Riverside man faces charges he pushed and scratched his victim during an argument and then tried to prevent the victim from calling 911, according to Greenwich Police. 

The 62-year-old suspect was arrested just before 1 p.m. July 26 following an argument in a Sound Beach Avenue Extension home in Riverside, according to a police report.

The suspect was charged with third-degree assault on a person over 60 years old, disorderly conduct and interfering with a 911 call. The suspect was unable to post a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear July 29 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
