Man Faces Indecent Exposure Charge In Library Incident

Greenwich Police arrest suspect in connection with September incident involving 14-year-old girl.

 

Greenwich Police have arrested a man who they said reportedly exposed his penis to a 14-year-old girl inside the Greenwich Library.

The incident occurred on Sept. 6 and detectives from the Greenwich Police Special Victims Section identified the suspect at the library on Sept. 18, according to a Greenwich Police report. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant on Oct. 17 and arrested Marcelo Furtado, 29, of 22 High St., Greenwich, on Oct. 20.

Furtado is charged with public indecency and risk of injury to or impairing the morals of a child.

Furtado was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Oct. 29 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
