Man Faces Sex Assault Charges

Man surrenders to Greenwich Police who obtained warrants charging him in connection with a January incident.

A 47-year-old Greenwich man is facing sexual assault charges lodged by Greenwich Police.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Gustavo Herrera, 47, of 28 Angelus Dr., Greenwich, surrendered April 16 to police who obtained an arrest warrant charging him with two counts each of fourth-degree sexual assault and illegal sexual contact with a person less than 16 years of age.

The charges stem from an incident on Angelus Drive that reported on Jan. 3, according to the report. Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray said he would not release any details of incident.

Herrera was held in lieu of a court-ordered $100,000 bond and was assigned an April 16 court date at state Superior Court in Stamford.
