Scott Kirk, 53, of North Haven, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on Sept. 4, after he allegedly drove his vehicle the wrong way down a one-way street. Police said an officer on patrol observed Kirk’s vehicle traveling north on Greenwich Avenue, even though the road is clearly marked for one-way travel southbound only. On stopping Kirk’s vehicle, the officer noticed that Kirk’s eyes were red and glassy and also detected an odor of alcohol. Kirk reportedly admitted that he had consumed alcohol before driving his vehicle. He was administered a field sobriety test, which he reportedly failed. Kirk posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 19.
