Man Held on Probation Violation, Failure to Appear in Court Charges

A man who was arrested earlier this year on motor vehicle charges is now facing additional charges for failing to appear in court and violating probation, according to Greenwich Police.

Thomas P. Hickey, 46, of 7 Fourth St., Stamford, surrendered to Greenwich Police on June 19. Court-issued warrants charged Hickey with second-degree failure to appear in court and violation of probation, according to police reports.

The failure to appear in court charge stems from Hickey's arrest April 19 in Greenwich for illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension and failure to display lights, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website. His bond on the new charge was set at $10,000.

The probation violation charge stems from a case involving a second-degree threatening charge in 2010, according to the Judicial Branch website. Bond on that charge was set at $10,000.

Hickey remains in custody and is scheduled to appear July 14 in state Superior Court in Stamford, according to Judicial Branch records.
