Mercedes SUV Is Reported Stolen in Greenwich

There also was a theft from a car in the same neighborhood.

Greenwich Police are investigating reports of two separate thefts in the Pemberwick neighborhood on the western end of Greenwich.

A 2003 white Mercedes-Benz SUV was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Pemberwick Road shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, according to police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray.

On Sunday afternoon, a resident of Almira Drive reported confronting a woman who was seen rifling through a parked car, Gray said. The woman — described white, between 17- and 20-years-old, about five-foot-eight, skinny with curly black and wearing a gray hoodie — fled when the owner confronted her about 4:40 p.m., Jan. 26.

The  car owner reported that a GPS device was missing from the car. The woman was seen driving away in a tan, medium-sized sedan, Gray said.
