Middle School Student Arrested for Threatening Teacher, Student

Greenwich Police say the teen was in class when the incident occurred.

 

A Western Middle School student faces charges he threatened a teacher and fellow student during a class.

The 13-year-old was arrested Feb. 27 following the incident at the school on Western Junior Highway, according to a Greenwich Police report.

The student "was exhibiting threatening and defiant behavior while attending class and in the process threatened a teacher and a student," according to the report. The report did not indicate the nature of the threat. The student was charged with second-degree breach of peace and threatening.

He was released to the custody of his mother and scheduled to appear March 12 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
