Greenwich Middle School Student Faces Assault Charge


A 13-year-old Greenwich girl is facing third-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges stemming from a reported assault on a fellow student at Western Middle School, according to Greenwich Police.

According to a police report, shortly before 8 a.m. on Nov. 25, the suspect "attacked another WMS student from behind, banged the student's head into a locker, then threw the student to the ground by the student's hair. Once on the ground the arrestee punched and kicked the student's head and body until staff pulled" the student off the victim.

The 14-year-old victim was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment of her injuries, according to police.

The suspect was issued a court appearance date of Dec. 10 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
