Motorist Faces Charges Including Driving Without a License

A driver who Greenwich Police believe was involved in a car crash on Stanwich Road back in October 2012, has been arrested on several motor vehicle charges.

Bernardo O. Mendoza, 26, of 61 First St., New Rochelle, NY, surrendered at Greenwich Police headquarters on Jan. 24.

According to a police report, police had obtained an arrest warrant charging him with evading responsibility, operating without a license, failure to keep right on a curve and failure to wear a seatbelt.

He was released after posting a $5,000 bond. Mendoza is scheduled to appear Jan. 31 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
