Pair Wanted for Burglary Caught in Town

Greenwich Police help nab 2 suspects wanted by Rye PD for a weekend burglary.

 

Two suspects wanted in connection with an early Sunday burglary of a home in Rye, NY were caught in downtown Greenwich.

According to a Greenwich Police report, local police were told by Rye Police they had information that two suspects in the July 29 burglary at 5:30 a.m., were on Lewis Street near Liberty Way in downtown Greenwich about 9 a.m. Officers from both departments converged on the neighborhood and arrested the pair, whom Greenwich Police said had items—including electronics—reportedly taken from the home.

The suspects were identified as Stephanie R. Zea, 20, of 44 Rodwell St., Greenwich, and Jesus Andres Barajas, 21, of 542 Pelham Rd., New Rochelle, NY. Both were charged with one count each of third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny.

Neither Zea nor Barajas were able to post a $10,000 bond. They were scheduled to appear Aug. 6 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
