'Passed Out Behind the Wheel,' Greenwich Driver Faces DWI Charge

A motorist who Greenwich Police say they found "in a motor vehicle parked, running with the sole occupant pas(sed) out behind the wheel" is facing a driving while intoxicated charge.

According to a police report, Harold Otto, 46, of 28 Bruce Park Ave., Greenwich, was found in his car on Sherwood Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. on April 30. Otto reportedly had "red glassy eyes," an odor of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet. Otto refused to take field sobriety tests, according to the report.

Otto also was charged with possession of a controlled substance after police said they found a single yellow pill in a glassine bag inside Otto's car, according to the report.

Otto was unable to post $250 bond. He is scheduled to appear May 15 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
