Police Investigate Several Greenwich Thefts

Greenwich Police are investigating several thefts including parts from a car which contain precious metals.

On Monday, a resident of Mallard Drive in central Greenwich reported that someone had cut and removed the catalytic converter from their 2001 Jeep Cherokee. According to police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray, the converter contains parts made of precious metals.

Another precious metal theft also was reported on Monday. A Weaver Street resident reported that a quantity of copper was taken from that home. No other information was available.

Also on Feb. 3, a tenant in the office building at 75 Holly Hill Lane reported that cash had been stolen from an office sometime over the weekend. Gray said less than $500 was taken.

In late January, another tenant of that same building reported that a laptop computer worth about $1,000 had been stolen from an office.
