Police Investigate Theft from Greenwich Apple Store

Greenwich Police are investigating the theft of a laptop computer from the Apple Store on Greenwich Avenue.

The theft from the store at 356 Greenwich Ave. was reported shortly before 3 p.m. Feb. 4, according to a police report. Police are investigating some leads in the case, according to Capt. Robert Berry.

The store has been targeted by thieves a few times since it opened in November 2009.

In December 2010, at least five burglars stole several thousands of dollars worth of electronics after smashing the front door. In August 2011, a gang of thieves invaded the store and made off five laptops in a grab-and-run incident. A month later, Greenwich Police arrested two of the five suspects in that case.
