Popular Old Greenwich Eatery Burglarized

The popular Old Greenwich take-out restaurant - Garden Catering - was burglarized this week.

According to Greenwich Police, the burglary and theft of less than $250 was discovered shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 30. 's long-time and popular employee Frank Petrino, known as Hotsy, discovered the theft, said Lt. Kraig Gray, police spokesman. He said a window had been forced open.

A Long Island City, NY woman has been arrested in connection with a shoplifting incident at .

Jacqueline Farrell, 56, of 2976 Northern Blvd., was arrested Nov. 30 by Greenwich Police, who obtained an arrest warrant in connection with the theft of unspecified goods from the clothier on April 7. She was charged with fourth-degree larceny. Details on the theft were not provided. However, fourth-degree larceny involves the theft of merchandise valued between $501 and $1,000, according to Connecticut General Statutes.

Farrell was arrested at the Bronx House of Detention where officials learned of the Greenwich warrant and contacted Greenwich Police who brought Farrell back to Greenwich. She was posted a $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Dec. 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
