Recent Arrests in Greenwich

Suspects charged with domestic violence and failure to appear in court charges.

 

A fight between a couple ended Saturday afternoon with the arrests of both on a variety of charges including violating orders of protection.

According to Greenwich Police, the incident involved a 23-year-old woman from Greenwich and a 25-year-old Port Chester, NY man. The woman was found to have violated an order of protection and to have assaulted the man and damaged his car tires. The man was found to have violated a court order of protection and wanted on a charge of failing to appear in court for a previous arrest, according to the report.

The woman was charged with third-degree assault, violation of a protection order, third-degree criminal mischief, and for allegedly resisting arrest: interfering with a police officer and disorderly conduct. Both were released and scheduled to appear March 18 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

In addition to the court order violation, the man was charged with second-degree failure to appear in court. Details of that charge were not provided. He is scheduled to appear March 25 in court on that charge.

Greenwich Police stopped a motorist on Horseneck Lane for an unspecified violation March 14 and ended up arresting him on a charge of second-degree failure to appear in court charge.

According to a police report, Christopher J. Upton, 42, of 135 Salvator Ct., Bridgewater, NJ, was named in an arrest warrant. He was released after posting a $250 bond and was scheduled to appear March 29 in state Superior Court in Danbury. Details on the original arrest were not provided.
