Greenwich Resident Faces Narcotics, Trespass Charges

A Greenwich teen is facing narcotics possession and trespassing charges after Greenwich Police investigated a report of suspicious people in a Riverside neighborhood.

Osman Merida, 19, of 15 Scofield St., Greenwich, also is facing an interfering with police charge in connection with the Feb. 3 incident just before 10 p.m. on Hoover Road near Westcott Lane in Riverside, according to a police report.

When officers went to investigate the report, they reportedly saw Merida running through a private yard. He was described as being "uncooperative" and that a search of him yielded an unspecified quantity of narcotics, according to the report.

Merida was unable to post $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 10 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
