Riverside Resident Faces DWI Charge


A 57-year-old Riverside resident is facing a driving while intoxicated charge after Greenwich Police saw the motorist driving in the middle of the road, according to a police report.

It was nearly 8:40 p.m. Jan. 12 when officers spotted the driver, identified as Peter J. Harrington, 57, of 8 Lancer Rd., Riverside, driving down the middle of Hendrie Avenue, according to the report. Harrington reportedly failed field sobriety tests.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and unsafe movement. He was released after posting $250 bond and is scheduled to appear Jan. 27 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
