Helmetless Scooter Passenger, 8

The operator of a motor scooter was arrested on a variety of motor vehicle charges following an accident Monday night on East Putnam Avenue, near Old Post Road # 3.
According to a Greenwich Police report, Jhonny E. Rosero, 48, of 62 Wilbur Pck Ct., Greenwich, is accused of getting into the accident and operating the scooter with an 8-year-old passenger who was not wearing a protective helmet. The report did not indicate whether there were any injuries.
Rosero was charged with operating with a suspended license, not providing protective eye and head gear for a minor and risk of injury to a minor. He was released on a $500 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
