Shoplifting Suspect Faces Drug Charges


A man who Greenwich Police described as a shoplifting suspect at the CVS in Old Greenwich was arrested on a variety of drug-related charges.

According to a Greenwich Police report, Rolf E. Klaeboe, 21, of 55 Silver Hill Rd., Easton, was arrested about 8:40 p.m. July 23 after police received a call about a possible shoplifter at the CVS store, 225 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich.

"Klaeboe was found to be in possession of (six) folds of a white powder which tested positive for heroin as well as six clean and one use (sic) syringe," according to the report. "Klaeboe was arrested within 1,500 feet of Old Greenwich School," according to the report.

He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession, illegal possession near a school, sixth-degree larceny and criminal attempt. Klaeboe posted a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear July 30 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
