Stamford Pair Faces Greenwich Drug Charges

A pair of men face drug-related charges after Greenwich Police say the smell of pot was coming from a suspicious car parked on Marshall Street in Old Greenwich.

Robert C. Anderson, 21, of 237 Strawberry Hill Ave., and Dondre S. James, 19, of 77 Havemeyer Ln., both in Stamford, were arrested just before 3 p.m. July 7, according to a Greenwich Police report. A quantity of marijuana was found in the car.

Both were charged with possession of more than four ounces of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and illegal distribution of a controlled substance near a school, public housing, or day care center.

Anderson's bond was set at $5,000 and James was released on promise to appear in court. Both were assigned July 15 appearances in state Superior Court in Stamford.
