Stamford Police Investigating Bank Robbery

Stamford Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at a Hope Street bank on Tuesday morning.

Lt. Diedrich Hohn said the First County Bank was robbed by a white male wearing sunglasses, a neck brace and a black hoodie. Hohn said the suspect passed a note to the teller threatening harm if she didn't hand over funds.

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money from the teller and then fled out the rear of the bank, possibly into a waiting silver foreign-model vehicle, Hohn said.

The case remains under investigation. Hohn said a photo of the suspect would be released shortly.
