Stamford Woman Gets DUI Following Single Car Accident
Greenwich Police reports for Sept. 1-2
Hayley Brooke Willson, 30, of Stamford was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, evading responsibility, and failure to drive in proper lane following a single car motor vehicle accident that occurred on Stanwich Road at about 10:41 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.
Police said they were notified that an accident had occurred on Stanwich Road and that the driver had fled the scene. Upon investigating police found damage to a stone wall on a property as well as a damaged guide wire on a CL&P telephone pole.
Police located a vehicle stopped about 0.8 miles down the road. Police said the driver, Willson, was with the vehicle and was exhibiting signs of intoxication. She reportedly declined to take a field sobriety test.

Police said a small portion of the guide wire was found lodged in the front grill of Willson's car. Police said they also found an empty bottle of wine on the car's back seat and an empty wine glass in the car's center console.
Willson posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.

Julie M. Aliapoulios, 44, of New Canaan was arrested via warrant and charged with third degree larceny and one count of issuing a bad check on Saturday, Sept. 1.
According to police Aliapoulios issued a personal check for $5,550.13 to a Greenwich Avenue business on Dec. 29, 2010, knowing that she did not have sufficient funds in her account.
Aliapoulios reportedly turned herself in to police upon learning of the warrant. She posted a $5,000 bond and is due in court on Sept. 10.

Marco A. Lugo-busanet, 24, of Bridgeport was arrested via warrant and charged with fourth degree larceny on Saturday, Sept. 1.
Police said an investigation revealed that Lugo-busanet stole checks from a Greenwich resident back in December 2011, forged the resident's signature and then cashed the checks for his own use.
Lugo-busanet is reportedly scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5.
