Suspects Charged with Theft, Forgery, Drug Possession

Employee charged with theft of boss’s Cartier watch

A woman employed by a Greenwich woman has been arrested on a charge she stole the boss’s Cartier watch in August.

Greenwich Police obtained an arrest warrant for Patricia Guillen, 42, of 14 Orchard St., Stamford., charging her with 1st-degree larceny in connection with the theft. According to a police report, Guillen confessed to investigators that she took the watch. Police obtained the warrant Sept. 13 and Guillen surrendered later that day. Bond was set at $25,000 and she was scheduled to appear Sept. 21 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

She was held after a check indicated that Immigration and Naturalization Service held a detainer order for her.

Drug investigation leads to arrest

A continuing investigation into suspected drug sales in the Valleywood Road neighborhood of Cos Cob has lead to the arrest of a 36-year-old Port Chester, NY man.

According to Greenwich Police report released Sept. 14, during a surveillance operation of a home at 36 Valleywood Rd., undercover officers witnessed a “hand-to-hand drug transaction” with a man in a car. The driver was stopped after a check indicated the car was unregistered.

Police charged Gilbert W. Becerra, of 63 Leonard St.,  Port Chester, with possession of marijuana, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle without insurance and 6th-degree larceny. The larceny charge stems from police finding “18 rolls of commercial toilet paper which he admitted to taking without permission from his place of employment of Greenwich Hospital.

Becerra was released on a promise to appear Sept. 14 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Attempted bank withdrawal leads to forgery, criminal impersonation arrest

A woman who tried to withdraw money from the Chase Bank at 137 W. Putnam Ave. on Tuesday, ended up being arrested on identity theft, forgery and criminal impersonation charges.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the suspect was found to have false identification and using a fake name.. Police also found a similar incident occurred a short time before her arrest about 1:30 p.m.  Tuesday. Police said the woman had bank slips with false names and a fake credit card in her possession.

Lakeisha L. Johnson, 35, of the Bronx NY, was arrested on two counts each of 3rd-degree identity theft, 1st-degree forgery, criminal impersonation and criminal attempt; and three counts of 3rd-degree forgery.

She was held in lieu of $3,000 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 21 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Tip leads to three drug arrests

Greenwich Police say a tip about a man suspected of selling drugs at the McDonald’s restaurant on West Putnam Avenue, lead to the arrests of three suspects Wednesday afternoon.

According to a police report, Jonathan Wiegand, 25, of 21 Bartlett Ave., Norwalk was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics, sale of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also arrested “other customers of Wiegand,” according to the report. An unidentified 15-year-old Greenwich juvenile and Jacob R. Eppner, 18, of 24 Burning Tree Rd., Greenwich, each were charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to sell.

Wiegand and Eppner were issued court appearance dates of Sept. 27 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
