SUV Stolen from Greenwich Driveway

The rash of vehicle thefts continues in Greenwich.

Greenwich Police are investigating the Sept. 23 theft of a 2013 Toyota 4Runner from the driveway of a home in the 400 block of North Maple Avenue.

"The vehicle was locked and taken from the driveway sometime between 1800 (6 p.m.) and 2010 (8:10 p.m.) hours," said Lt. Kraig Gray, police spokesman. The car was a rental vehicle being used by residents.

More than a dozen cars and SUVs and a truck have been reported stolen since June 1. In August, two high-end vehicles were reported stolen—the keys were left inside.

Police also have had at least three reported thefts of mopeds and motor scooters including two earlier this month in Old Greenwich.
