Teen Arrests Range from Theft and Forgery, to Fighting and Pot Possession

Police investigating a report of person with a rifle, kneeling down on Spruce Street arrested a pair of 11-year-old Greenwich youths on breach of peace charges.

According to a Greenwich Police report, a motorist spotted the pair with a gun, shooting at a bird, and called 911 about 10 a.m. Saturday. Police said they confiscated an air rifle and four lead pellets from the pair who were accompanied to headquarters by the parents.

Each child was released in the custody of their parents and scheduled to appear April 26 in the Juvenile Matters division of state Superior Court in Stamford.

Three suspects from the Bronx were arrested on larceny charges stemming from what Greenwich Police said was a shoplifting spree along Greenwich Avenue Monday afternoon.

According to a police report, the two women and one man “were observed acting suspiciously and possibly shoplifting within Brooks Brothers and Victoria’s Secret.” The two women were found in the nearby Zara clothing store and the man was walking away from the store’s entrance. Police said they found the suspects with items believed to have been stolen “from various retail outlets including both Victoria’s Secret and Brooks Brothers.” The man also had a Georgia driver’s license which police claim was forged.

The suspects – Marie Fay Watson, 35; Cartous Watson, 43, and Bridget Walters, 43, - all were charged with 6th-degree larceny and 6th-degree larceny by possession. Cartous Watson also was charged with 2nd-degree forgery. Marie Watson posted a $1,000 bond while Cartous Watson was held on $1,500 bond and Walters on a $1,000 bond.

All three are scheduled to appear April 25 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

An argument and hair-pulling incident in a North Water Street home Monday night lead to the arrests of two women.

Greenwich Police said they charged Norma P. Hudson, 50 of 128 N. Water St., and Tanisa T. Hudson, 25, of 94 Maple Tree Ave., Stamford, with disorderly conduct in connection with the incident. Both were released on promises to appear Tuesday in state Superior Court in Stamford.

 A 49-year-old Stamford man was arrested on a drunk driving charge late Thursday after Greenwich Police were flagged down by a passenger in the man’s car.

According to the police report, officers were patrolling on Horseneck Lane when they found a car parked with its driver side wheels on the sidewalk and an unidentified passenger who wanted to leave the car because she thought the driver was drunk.

Police identified the driver as Gladston C. Graham, of 45 Raymond St., Stamford, who was charged with driving while under the influence after failing two field sobriety tests, according to the report. He was released on a $250 bond and scheduled to appear April 28 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 17-year-old teen hired to babysit for a Hillcrest Park Rd. resident has been arrested on forgery and larceny charges stemming from the theft of checks and cash from her employer’s purse.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the unidentified teen admitted to stealing and forging two checks as well as the cash. She was charged with 4th-degree larceny and 2 counts of 1st-degree forgery. She was released on a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear April 20 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 15-year-old Armstrong Court resident was arrested Friday morning on disorderly conduct and threatening charges stemming from an argument.

According to the Greenwich police report, the unidentified teen fought with another teen in an apartment, was armed with a knife and yelled and swore at other residents in the apartment.

The teen was released and scheduled to appear Tuesday in the Juvenile Matters division of state Superior Court in Stamford.

A driver who police accused of driving his minivan across a double-yellow line on Sound View Drive and into the path of a Greenwich Police cruiser early Saturday, was arrested on a drunken driving charge.

Police identified the driver as Umberto Guimaraes, 454, of 55 Waterbury Ave., Stamford. He failed three field sobriety tests, according to the police report. He also was charged with failure to maintain proper lane.

He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear May 2 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Hamilton Avenue resident was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge stemming from a Saturday afternoon argument that became physical with the victim and the suspect suffering scratches.

According to Greenwich Police, Waiyat Hamdani, 19, of 307 Hamilton Ave., was issued a misdemeanor summons in connection with the incident. He was released on a promise to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A man who police said was suffering from a drug overdose in his Greenwich Avenue apartment, ended up being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on Friday.

Frank M. Fleizach, 32, of 403 Greenwich Ave., was found unresponsive on his bed by officers who tried to resuscitate him until paramedics arrived, according to a police report. Officers found a used syringe, wax paper folds and bottle caps with a brown residue in the apartment.

They issued a misdemeanor summons to Fleizach, who was treated at Greenwich Hospital. He was released on a promise to appear April 22 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Greenwich High School student was arrested Friday afternoon on a marijuana possession charge after school security officers stopped him because he smelled of marijuana.

According to a police report, the student handed over four small bags of marijuana to the officers when they asked whether he had any.

The 16-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana less than 4 ounces. He was released on a promise to appear Thursday in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A 57-year-old Greenwich woman has been arrested on a 6th-degree larceny charge stemming from the theft of money from a town social club where she worked as a bartender.

According to Greenwich Police, Kathleen A. Warner, of 36 Putnam Green, was arrested Saturday afternoon. The theft occurred at the Pilsudski Club, 65 Arch St. She was released on a promise to appear April 25 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
