Teen Faces Assault Charge


A 16-year-old girl is facing a misdemeanor summons charge of third-degree assault following an incident that involved throwing nail polish remover at a victim.

According to a Greenwich Police, the unidentified teen was arrested Nov. 7 in connection with a Nov. 4 incident on East Putnam Avenue in the Riverside section of Greenwich.

The suspect is accused of throwing the nail polish remover "at the victim's face and neck area, causing injury to same," according to the report. The teen was issued a misdemeanor summons for the assault. She is scheduled to appear Nov. 26 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.

The report did not indicate the extent of the victim's injuries or what precipitated the incident.
