Greenwich Teen Faces Larceny Charge in Theft of Mom’s Jewelry


A 16-year-old girl was arrested on a larceny charge in connection with the theft of jewelry from her mother’s dresser.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the girl was charged with sixth-degree larceny in connection with the Dec. 12 incident. 

The teen, who lives in the Cos Cob neighborhood of Greenwich, admitted to police — in front of her mother — to stealing the jewelry and selling the pieces for money, according to the report.

The teen was issued a juvenile summons to appear Dec. 17 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
