Teen Is Accused of Stealing Grandma's Prescriptions

Greenwich teen surrenders to Greenwich Police.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on charges he stole prescription drugs from his grandmother and traded them for illegal drugs.

According to Greenwich Police, police began their investigation Sept. 1 after family members reported the theft of the woman's prescriptions and that the grandson "was trading them for illicit drugs."

Police obtained an arrest warrant for the boy on Sept. 25 and he surrendered to police with his guardian on Sept. 28 when he was charged with sixth-degree larceny and illegal distribution of drugs.

He was released on a promise to appear Oct. 9 in the Juvenile Matters Division of Stamford Superior Court.
