A trio of Greenwich 17-year-olds were arrested on marijuana posession charges following a motor vehicle stop on Butternut Hollow Road last week.
According to a Greenwich Police report, the trio was stopped for an unspecified motor vehicle infraction just before 5 p.m. Jan. 3. The officers "a distinct odor of burnt marijuana. Officers also observed in plain view on the floor of the vehicle a rolled up cigarette that was determined to be marijuana."
All three received a misdemeanor summons for possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana. The driver also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were released in the custody of their parents and scheduled to appear Jan. 22 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
