Teens Face Robbery Charges

A group of teens jumped a boy and stole his cell phone.

 

Two Greenwich teenaged boys face robbery and assault charges stemming from the theft of cell phone from another teen as he walked along Hamilton Avenue in the Chickahominy section of Greenwich.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the suspects were arrested on Feb. 5 after investigators obtained arrest warrants stemming from the Nov. 23, 2012 incident on Hamilton Avenue in the Chickahominy section of Greenwich.

A 14-year-old and a 16-year-old , are accused of being part of a gang of five teens who assaulted and robbed the victim just before 11:30 p.m., Nov. 23, according to the report.

Each was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree assault. Both were released on promises to appear Feb. 12 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.

Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray said more arrests are expected.
