Thrown Drink, Thrown Punch, Thrown in Jail

One bar patron became irate with another and threw his drink at him, then threw his fist at him, then was arrested.

 

A Greenwich man at Darien Social threw his drink in the face of another bar patron, then gave him a black eye after the other man made him angry, Darien police said.

Darien police gave this account of the Wednesday, Nov. 21 incident and arrest:

Carl Fischer, 46, was at the bar, located at 934 Post Road, when he was angered by the other bar patron for some reason. The victim later suffered a swollen left eye. Police were called to the scene at 11:45 p.m.

Fischer, of 3 Perry Pl. in the Riverside section of Greenwich, was arrested on charges of third-degree assault and breach of peace. He later posted a $250 bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear Dec. 3 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
