Town Man Faces Drug-Related Charges Following Police Raid

Greenwich Police say a town resident is facing several drug-related charges following a narcotics investigation.

According to a police report, an ongoing narcotics investigation led police to obtain a search and seizure warrant for Eddie Avila, 37, of Rippowam Road, Cos Cob, and his home.

The report didn't detail what was found by investigators, but Avila was arrested on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana.

Avila also is accused of misleading detective by giving them a false ID. He also was charged with interfering with an officer when he was arrested Nov. 12.

Avila was released after posting a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Nov. 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
