Town Man Held as Fugitive from Justice

Greenwich Police assisted New York State Police in the arrest of a Greenwich man on a charge of fugitive from justice.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the state troopers requested assistance in making the arrest of Luis Mora, 47, at his home on Grange Street around 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21. Mora was unable to post the $150,000 bond set on the fugitive from justice charge.

According to New York State Troop T spokesman Trooper Jason Jones, the fugitive charge stems from Mora's arrest on a driving while intoxicated charge in 2012. Mora was involved in a car crash on northbound I-87 in the town of Grand View-on-the-Hudson in Rockland County on March 10, 2012, according to Jones.

Mora is scheduled to appear Oct. 28 in state Superior Court in Stamford on the fugitive charge.
