Town Woman Faces Larceny Charge in Richards Shoplifting Case


A woman who Greenwich Police say was found with six items reported stolen from the clothing boutique Richards of Greenwich, faces a third-degree larceny charge in connection with the incident.

Taylor Breitbart, 31, who gave an address of 56 Long Meadow Rd., Riverside, was arrested shortly after 4 p.m. Sept. 12, in the store's private parking lot behind the 359 Greenwich Ave. business, according to a police report. Six items were reported taken and were recovered when Breitbart was arrested, according to police.

According to Connecticut General Statutes, third-degree larceny involves the theft of items valued between $1,001 and $5,000.

Breitbart was held in lieu of $2,000 bond.
