Trio Faces Charges after Holiday Weekend Rumble

2 suspects are from Stamford and a third is from Old Greenwich, according to Greenwich Police.

A trio of young men faces a variety of charges following a holiday weekend rumble in Old Greenwich.

According to Greenwich Police, officers arrested the men after responding to a report of several young men possibly fighting in the road on Rockmere Avenue in Old Greenwich, at about 3 a.m., May 25. As officers arrived, several ran towards the Stamford city line.

A short time later, police arrested the two Stamford suspects after the victim identified them as their attackers. Police could not provide the extent of the injuries the victim suffered or whether medical treatment was needed, and what prompted the fight.

Police charged James C. Curcio, 19, of 14 Clorinda Ct., Stamford, with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal mischief. Jeffrey D. Ronaghan, 20, of 30 Lannell Dr., Stamford, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree criminal mischief. They are accused of trespassing on a Rockmere Avenue property and causing unspecified damage.

The third suspect was identified as Estevan D. Duque, 22, of 23 Rockmere Ave., Old Greenwich. He was issued a misdemeanor summons for second-degree breach of peace after he was found to have been involved in the fight and used a baseball bat to threaten those involved in the fight.

All three were released and scheduled to appear June 3 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
