Two Critically Hurt in Stamford Crash

In total four people—including an 18-year-old Greenwich resident—were transported to the hospital, two with critical injuries, according to Stamford Police.

 

Stamford Police think alcohol was a factor in a serious motor vehicle accident that occurred late Friday at the intersection of Canal and North State streets.

According to police a Ford Focus operated by an 18 year-old Greenwich resident was traveling west on North State Street at about 11:40 p.m. when it collided with a Mitsubishi Galant operated by a 28-year-old Stamford resident traveling north on Canal Street.

Police said two passengers in Mitsubishi were taken to Norwalk Hospital with critical injuries. In addition, both operators were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
