Wanted on Murder Charge: Vamond Elmore of Norwalk, 'Armed & Dangerous'

Norwalk police have an arrest warrant and a wanted poster charging Vamond 'Wooley King' Elmore, 37, with murder.

Elmore is charged with the shooting death of Jimmy Martinez of Norwalk on May 15 in central Norwalk.

Police say Elmore is armed and dangerous, and ask people to call them if they see him or know where he is.

Norwalk police issued this news release Wednesday morning:

The Norwalk Police Department holds an active warrant for Vamond “Wooley King” Elmore, born Jan. 6, 1977.

The warrant signed May 27, 2014 in Stamford Superior Court charges: murder, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and theft of a firearm.

Elmore is also currently be sought by the United State’s Marshal Service for a federal violation of probation.

Elmore is wanted in connection to the murder of Jimmy Martinez, which occurred on May 15, 2014 at approximately 2:12 a.m. in the area of 18 Leonard St.

Elmore is to be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If observed call 911.
