A Port Chester, NY man was ticketed for creating a public disturbance Oct. 6 after he reportedly entered a Vinci Drive apartment through a window.

According to a police report, Christopher Cannizzaro, 52, of 22 Clinton St., is a frequent guest of the apartment residents who enters through a front window rather than the front door. However, Cannizzaro was not welcome on Oct. 6 by the residents. Police were called by a neighbor who reported seeing Cannizzaro try to enter her neighbor's apartment and thought he was burglarizing it shortly after 5:30 p.m.

Officers issued Cannizzaro and infraction on the charge and gave hime an Oct. 21 date to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Police arrested a Greenwich man on a 1st-degree failure to appear in court charge Oct. 6.

According to a police report, New Canaan police obtained a warrant for Nicholas C. Merz, 19, of 53 Rodwell Ave. Merz is accused of not appearing in court on a narcotics-related charge. Bond was set at $5,000 and he was scheduled to appear Oct. 14 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Greenwich Police stopped a motorist on Delavan Avenue because the rear license plate light was not working and ended up arresting the passenger on a marijuana possession charge.

The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m., Oct. 5. According to a police report, the passenger was searched by officers who found two plastic bags filled with a leafy green substance that tested positive for marijuana. Eric A. Salazar, 22, of 50 S. Main St., Port Chester, NY, was charged with illegal possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana. He was released on $260 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

The driver, Sheena Fitts, age and address unavailable, was ticketed for failure to illuminate the rear plate.
