Woman Accused of Using Drug in Restroom

A visitor the men's room of the Walgreen's pharmacy in Old Greenwich thought something was amiss when he found a woman inside the facilities.

According to Greenwich Police, the patron found a woman inside Monday afternoon, with what police described as bottle with a narcotic and a hyprodermic needle.

Karen E. Wenbert, 42, who gave an address of 61 Seaview Ave., Stamford, was charged with posession of a controlled subtance and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with the 3:30 p.m. incident.  According to a police report, officers said they found a small bottle with a liquid and a lable of lidocaine.

Wenberg was released after posting $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear June 20 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Riverside man is accused of shooting off several bottle rockets on the Eastern MIddle School campus on Hendrie Avenue on Monday night,.

Peter T. De Riemer, 20, of 71 Winthrop Dr., was arrested after Greenwich Police investigated a report of someone shooting fireworks at the school. According to a police report, officers was found with 32 rockets and several used bottle rockets around him.

De Riemer was released on a promise to appear June 20 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

A Yonkers, NY man was arrested Monday following a fight with 14-year-old girl on Valley Road.

According to police, they responded to a report of a fight and found the suspect and an unidentified teen fighting. The man was identified by police as Matthew Hernandez, 39, was charged with risk of injury to a minor and breach of peace. He was released after posting $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear Tuesday in state Superior Court in Stamford.
