A 29-year-old New York woman was arrested on drug-related charges Monday after someone called Greenwich Police to say they saw a woman who appeared to be injecting herself with drugs while parked in a Mercedes Benz on Mill Street.

According to a police report, an officer found the woman in the car about 11:30 a.m. in the William Street municipal parking lot. The officer said he found the suspect whose wrist was “red, swollen and had a fresh needle mark which was oozing a clear liquid.”

The officer saw a used syringe and wax paper folds, which were described as being commonly used to package narcotics. The woman tried to hide the items when the officer questioned her, according to the report.

When the officer went to arrest the woman, she placed a pack of cigarettes on her car trunk which was found to contain a used syringe and seven wax paper folds containing suspected heroin. Police found additional used syringes and wax paper folds during a search of the car. Police said the paraphernalia tested positive for heroin.

Jennifer Cloke, who gave an address of 613 Half Moon Bay, Croton, NY, was charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 22 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
