Woman is Accused of Stealing Prescription Drugs


A Greenwich resident's report that a person who picked up their prescription and stole some pills before given the prescription to the victim, resulted in the arrest of a woman on a larceny charge.

Settima McNamara, 51, of Greenwich, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, illegal possession and possession of a controlled substance in connection with the theft reported by a Bruce Park Avenue Extension resident about 9:30 a.m. Aug. 3, according to Greenwich Police Lt. John Brown.

The suspect is accused of having "picked up the prescription medication and took several pills before giving the complaintant their medication," Brown said.

McNamara was released on a promise to appear Aug. 12 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
