Greenwich Women Face Charges in CVS Shoplifting Incident

Two women face shoplifting charges following an incident at the CVS pharmacy on West Putnam Avenue, according to Greenwich Police.

Police responded to a 911 call about 3:20 a.m. Sept. 13 from the CVS at 644 W. Putnam Ave. where employees said a pair of women were seen taking items from store shelves, stuffing them into tote bags and walked out of the store carrying other items in their hands, according to a police report. Officers found the pair less than a block from the store.

Surveillance video showed the women and the thefts, according to police.

Both women, Kacy M. LaLuna, 33, who gave an address of 145 Glenville Rd., Greenwich, and Magdalena Mosiej, 29, who was described by police as homeless in Greenwich, each face sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny charges. Mosiej also was charged with violation of probation.

Neither woman could post $250 bond and were scheduled to appear Sept. 22 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
