Women Faces Probation Violation, Fugitive Charges


Two women were arrested by Greenwich Police on Thanksgiving eve on unrelated charges and held in custody when they were unable to post bond.

According to a police report, Ashleigh Kate Singer, 28, whose address was not given, was arrested at 1:25 p.m. Nov. 27 by officers who were conducting an investigation and discovered there was an arrest warrant for her held by police in Trenton, NJ. Singer was charged with fugitive from justice and held in lieu of $250,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear Dec. 4 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Also arrested on Nov. 27, at about 6:30 p.m., was Melissa Chalmers Oltran, 42, of Wilbur Peck Court, Greenwich. Chalmers was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of probation. She was held on $50,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear Dec. 4 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
