13 To Be Interviewed for Greenwich Info Tech Director's Post

There's a veritable 'baker's dozen' of candidates who are track to be interviewed for Greenwich's information technology director's post this week.

First Selectman Peter Tesei said that a panel of town and school officials are scheduled to conduct the interviews with 13 candidates, one of whom may be selected to succeed Boris Hutorin, who has given notice he will retire next April. Hutorin has been in charge of the town's IT department for 10 years.

"We've really had an excellent response" to advertisements in various trade publications, Tesei said. "It's a big position to fill." And Tesei said he hopes that a candidate will be selected before Hutorin's retirement so "there will be some overlap."

The candidates will be interviewed by Tesei, and a panel of officials including Department of Public Works Commissioner Amy Siebert, Town Administrator John Crary, Human Resources Director Mary Pepe, Board of Estimate and Taxation member John Blankley, who owns his own IT company, Representative Town Meeting member John Mastricchio, who also is in the IT industry.

The salary range is $114,271 to $171,407. Hutorin earns $145,873, according to Tesei.
